Preview: Veteran coach Brad Hood’s Allen County-Scottsville teams are always competitive — and 2020 shouldn’t be any different. The Patriots bring back nearly every piece from last season’s squad that won five games, including a trio of standout seniors in quarterback Trace McIntyre, running back/defensive back Landon Witcher and wide receiver Jax Cooper, and look to make a Class 4A playoff run later this year. ACS opens the season with a challenging road meeting at Glasgow and will also face teams such as Franklin-Simpson, Danville, Daviess County, Warren East and Greenwood, a slate that will prepare the Patriots for the postseason.
