After 10 successful seasons at the helm of the Glasgow girls’ basketball program, Justin Stinson has made the decision to step away from the court.
On Wednesday, Glasgow Athletic Director Craig Cassady announced in a release that Stinson – the most successful coach in the history of Lady Scottie Basketball – had resigned from his position “to focus more on his existing administrative role to better prepare himself for a prospective principal position.”
Stinson currently serves as the assistant principal at GHS.
“I appreciate all that Coach Stinson and his family have given to Glasgow High School and Lady Scottie Basketball,” Cassady said in the release. “A coach of his caliber will be greatly missed. I wish Coach Stinson the best in his future endeavors.”
In his 10 seasons at the helm, Stinson guided Glasgow to an overall record of 227-83 with a pair of Region 4 championships in 2012 and 2014 and an All-A state title in 2014.
“It has been an amazing journey that I could not have scripted any better,” Stinson told Southern Kentucky Preps. “God has blessed us along the way and he will continue to bless us. I have enjoyed every second of the journey. Lady Scotties Basketball and the players over the years will forever hold a special place in my heart.”
